A team subscription tracker. Without the spreadsheet.
Engineering buys Linear. Marketing buys Webflow. Ops buys Notion. Finance has no idea what the company actually pays for SaaS until the next renewal hits. Spendrein puts every recurring charge in one workspace, with roles for everyone who needs visibility.
Distributed buying, centralized billing.
The era of finance owning every vendor purchase is over. Teams buy their own tools on their own corporate cards, which is fast but creates a visibility problem at the company level. Two departments end up on different invoice cycles for the same product. A trial converts in October that nobody remembers signing up for. Nobody can answer ‘how much do we spend on project management?’ without a half-day of Slack archaeology.
Four roles. No surprises.
Every workspace member has exactly one role. Permissions are explicit and visible to everyone — there is no hidden ‘super admin’ tier that can bypass the audit log.
Holds billing and can rename, transfer, or delete the workspace. Exactly one per workspace.
Invites Admins, Members, and Viewers; manages data; removes Members and Viewers. Cannot remove other Admins or change billing.
Reads and edits workspace data, uploads statements and contracts. No member management.
Read-only. Sees every subscription, contract, and audit, but cannot change anything. Good for finance partners and external accountants.
Everyone sees the same picture.
Every member change, billing event, and cancellation is recorded in the workspace activity log. Finance can audit what happened, when, and by whom — without asking around.
Any Admin or Member can upload a statement. The resulting audit, subscription list, and contracts are visible to the whole workspace, not siloed by uploader.
When a teammate leaves, an Owner or Admin removes them and access revokes immediately. The data they uploaded stays with the workspace, not with them.
Pair the tracker with contract tracking.
Subscriptions tell you what’s billing today. Contracts tell you what locks in tomorrow. The Business plan combines both.

Team workspaces, plainly explained.
Who can see what in a Spendrein team workspace?
A Spendrein team workspace has four roles: Owner (billing + everything), Admin (manage members + data), Member (read and edit), and Viewer (read-only). Every action — invites, member changes, billing events, cancellations — is recorded in the workspace activity log, so finance can audit what happened.
Can each department upload their own statements?
Yes. Any Admin or Member can upload a statement to the shared workspace. The audit results, subscription list, contracts, and cancellations are all visible to everyone in the workspace — no per-department silos to reconcile later.
What happens if a teammate leaves?
An Owner or Admin removes them from the workspace; their access is revoked immediately, but the data they uploaded stays. If the departing teammate was the Owner, ownership can be transferred to another Admin via Settings → Workspace.
Is there a seat cap?
The Business plan defaults to a 10-seat cap (Owner + Admins + Members + Viewers + pending invitations). Need more seats? Add them per-seat from the workspace billing page.
Do you support SSO?
Email + password is the default authentication. SSO is on the Business roadmap; contact us if it's a requirement for your team.
Can a Viewer see contract documents?
Yes — Viewers see everything Members see, they just can't edit. That includes contract PDFs you've uploaded, renewal calendars, and the subscription list. Useful for finance partners who want visibility without write access.
